Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion Darlene Clark; Anne Tinsdale (540) 347-2922 Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the parish clergy with distribution of Holy Communion at Mass, visits to nursing homes and hospitals, retirement residences and to the sick or elderly who are confined to their homes. They usually serve in this capacity for a period of five years and may be re-appointed for one term. The pastor reviews applications annually in March and April, and training for new ministers usually occurs in the late spring once the selection process has been completed. |
