Haiti/Dominican Republic Outreach Mission

This outreach focuses on providing medical care, dental care and education assistance for the people of rural areas in the two countries of Banica and the Dominican Republic. We support families in establishing the means to become self-sufficient. Two fund raising drives take place each year – one during Advent, and a Dinner Dance/Auction in the Spring.  

St. John’s works with Medical Missionaries of Northern Virginia to obtain medications, vaccines, educational supplies and equipment. In addition we provide medical personnel to staff clinics, perform surgery and inoculate the people, especially the children. Donations of soap, vitamins and school supplies can be deposited in the “blue mission box” in the vestibule of the church.
