All musicians and singers high school age and older are invited to participate in the Music Ministry. Three choirs lead the singing at weekend liturgies.  All choirs welcome instrumentalists and new singers of all voice types; experienced singers are needed as cantors for Masses without choirs. There is a critical need for organists/pianists to accompany the Sacred Liturgy on Sundays and Holy Days.

The Adult Mixed Choir (AMC) rehearses on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. in the church and sings at the 11 a.m. Sunday Mass.

The Contemporary Choir (CC) meets for rehearsal Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. in the church and sings at 9 a.m. Sunday Mass.

The Liturgical Ensemble (LE) rehearses on Saturdays at 3 p.m. prior to the 5pm Saturday Vigil Mass

Special Event Choirs are assembled to sing for the Feast of St. John the Evangelist (12/27), Triduum, and other special Masses.  They are announced in the bulletin and usually rehearse on the Saturday(s) prior to the event. If you are unable to commit to an ongoing schedule of rehearsals, this would be a wonderful opportunity to join in the singing at St. John's.

There is currently NO Children’s Choir (other than the St. John School Choir) in our parish because of a lack of adult volunteers to support the activity. Please consider offering your time and talent to this very rewarding endeavor.
