Pro-Life
Ministry
St.
John's pro-life activities include, but are not limited to joining
the annual March for Life, praying the rosary regularly for the
unborn and others in danger of an untimely death (and when
possible, joining and encouraging others to pray the rosary
outside abortion facilities), providing necessary items to
struggling new mothers, and keeping our elected officials aware of
our position regarding the sanctity and respect due all
human life. Gabriel
Project is a recent undertaking of our pro-life ministry in which
we endeavor to meet the needs of pregnant mothers whether they be
spiritual, emotional or material. Gabriel Project is sponsored by
the Diocesan Office of Family life, which provides resources and
training for the ministry. Our Telephone Tree spreads the word when events are scheduled at which
our participation is needed, when life issues are at stake in
which our input could be influential, and when our prayers are
more urgently needed than usual. To join our 'Phone Tree' or to
learn about how you can help to protect, preserve and promote
respect for all life, call Katie McClure at (540) 347-0545.. |
