Widows and Widowers

This group is currently inactive because of a lack of volunteer leadership. Coordinating activities for the group does not take much time or effort, but is very rewarding and would really be welcomed. 

The Widows and Widowers Group offers widowed parishioners a friendly environment to assist in coping with the loss of a spouse while continuing to function in a “couples” world. They meet periodically for birthday dinners or to celebrate certain holidays. The Knights of Columbus reserves a table for the group at their dinner dances. Many of the members are active in other parish groups such as the Women of St. John, the Secular Franciscans, the Legion of Mary and the K of C Ladies Auxiliary. They also serve as Eucharistic Adoration honor guards and as Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist. The group also participates in days of recollection.
