Meet the Pastor Dear Members of St. John's, I am so pleased to be your pastor. My desire is to be a good shepherd for each of you. It is such a great honor that has been bestowed upon me by Almighty God through Bishop Loverde. It delights me to know that we will grow in our love for the Lord and hopefully be filled with charity to each other. The vocation that has been given to me by the Lord continues to bring me such joy. I must give a tremendous amount of credit to my family for their constant love and support. I am blessed to be the third of four children brought up in Falls Church. I spent 12 years in the seminary beginning in the high school seminary. In my 14 years of being a priest, I have been so edified by the people of this diocese by their prayerful devotion. It is my hope and prayer that I will spend many years with you here at St. John's and that in all that we say and do our Lord will always be loved. In Christ, Fr. John Melmer
