Youth Group News Bishop Loverde's Respect Life Roadies! ~ Once a month, the St. John's youth group joins our Bishop at his traveling Mass for victims of abortion. Afterwards, we join him for a Rosary near the local abortion facility. “B.Y.O.B.” = Bring Your Own Beads! Watch this space for our next date. DIVE is the youth event for teens who want to go DOWN DEEPER in their understanding of the Faith to get a better look at life and the beauty beneath the surface of the Church's teachings. DIVE stands for Doctrine - Instruction (in the moral life) - Verse (Sacred Scripture) - Encyclicals (Papal writings). All St. John's teens are invited to DIVE on the first Wednesday of each month. Snacks provided. Eucharistic Adoration to follow. DECADES the Youth Group Rosary! All high school youth are invited to DECADES to pray our youth group Scriptural Rosary in the youth center from 6-8:30pm on the second Wednesday of each month. We also participate in Eucharistic Adoration which is followed by a social. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is the devotion given to the Church by St. Faustina. Our teens sing this unbelievably beautiful devotion on the third Wednesday of each month and have proclaimed it one of their all-time favorite Catholic prayers.
